![]() ![]() 1951 Convention Travel Documents - Refugees The INIS website notes that applications for Travel Documents are taking up to 16 weeks to process so please ensure that you apply well in advance of any planned travel. The application form and guidelines for applying for a travel document are available on the INIS website. In exceptional circumstances, migrants with other residency permissions may be granted a temporary travel document. If you have been recognised as stateless, you will also qualify for a travel document. The time for forwarding the application is excluded.If you have refugee status, subsidiary protection or have been granted residence based on being a family member of a refugee or a person with subsidiary protection status you may qualify for a travel document to allow you to travel outside of Ireland. The processing time of a replacement application will normally take 4 to 6 weeks upon receipt of all necessary documents and photograph. If the applicant’s previous HKSAR Re-entry Permit is lost, damaged, defaced or is not available, he/she has to complete Form ID 645. In general, applicants can collect the new HKSAR Re-entry Permit on the next working day after the completion of the processing by the Immigration Department. The time for mailing the application to the Immigration Department is excluded from the processing time listed above. For applications submitted by post or drop-in, an extra two to three working days may be required (working days denote Monday to Friday excluding General Holidays). If all supporting documents required are provided upon submission of application, in-person applications for HKSAR Re-entry Permit can normally be processed and issued to the applicant on the same day. Any application for cross linking of passports should be made simultaneously when you apply for replacement of passport in order not to cause delay in the processing of passport.Īpplication for cross linking of HKSAR Passports (Form ID 879) In general, the processing of HKSAR passport takes 5 working days to complete. Applications submitted by post, drop-in, online, via Travel Document Submission Kiosk or through the Immigration Department Mobile Application are not accepted.
